Funny License Plates

February 17, 2012

We've all seen some pretty creative license plates while driving. Well did you know that license plate could put you out of $20,000?

A DC man has a license plate that says 'NO TAGS'. Well everytime someone is pulled over without a tag, the police report it as 'NO TAGS'. Whenever a 'NO TAGS' violation is entered into the system it picks up the man's information and mails the bill to his house.

The man refuses to change his tag even though it is costing him a good chunk of change.

So would you change your tag if it ended up costing you more than what it is worth?

This story made me think about all of the funny license plates and bumper stickers I have seen out there. My Dad used to have an 'ES GUAPO' license plate, which means the handsome one in spanish. He was obsessed with it and everyone in the community started knowing him because of how popular his license plate had become. When he had to sell his car he framed the license plate and put it in his office. When people ask me how my Dad is doing they always say, "How is Es Guapo?".

If you have a creative license plate, are you so attached to it that you would never let it go? What creative plates and bumper stickers have you seen?

Upload some pictures of your favorite plates and stickers!
