Finger-wagging generates book sales

January 26, 2012

When Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer greeted President Obama in Phoenix yesterday, photographers snapped a photo of Brewer pointing her finger at the President during an apparently heated conversation of her latest book, Scorpions for Breakfast.

Brewer's book sales have increased over 150,000 percent on Amazon since the photograph was released.

The disagreement involves a few meetings between the two in which Obama was patronizing, especially in regards to immigration reform. "I felt a little bit like I was being lectured to, and I was a little kid in a classroom," Brewer said. Reviews of the book range from summaries like, "so good Obama was pissed off" to "crap".

You can read more about the book and the Brewer and Obama's run-in at the airport at OnlineAthens.com.

What do you think about Brewer's book?

Are you intrigued and thus, more inclined to read it?

Or do you think this is just another politician's book being played up for publicity?
