Fat Tuesday Parties

February 19, 2012

Mardi Gras, aka Fat Tuesday, is quickly approaching. So what are you planning to do this Mardi Gras season? In Athens, you can be sure that there will be a number of ways to celebrate.

We've compiled a few of the Mardi Gras parties we've heard about to start helping you make your plans.

1. Bad Manor will be hosting a Masquerade Party with music performances by DJ Deceptircon. Doors open at 9 -21+ $3; 18+ $10

2. The Half Dozen Bass Brand will be having a 'Pardi Gras' event at the Georgia Theatre on Fat Tuesday. There will be beads, costumes, and Cajun Food. Stephanie Niles will be opening at 8pm and The Half Dozen will begin at 9pm. Tickets are $8. There is a facebook page with more information.

What other Mardi Gras parties do you know about?

Of course there are plenty of New Orleans inspired restaurants to choose from in Athens like NONA on Broad and George's Lowcountry Table on Milledge.

What are some of your favorite Mardi Gras memories in Athens?

What plans will you make this year?
