Exploitation or supply and demand?

 Early Sunday, Sony raised the price of the British version of Whitney Houston's "The Ultimate Collection" by 60 percent. Criticism spread online about the increase as fans accused Sony of exploiting Houston's death.  Sony responded to backlash on Tuesday by reversing the increase and apologizing for the "mistake."  

“Whitney Houston product was mistakenly mispriced on the U.K. iTunes store on Sunday,” the company said in a statement. “When discovered, the mistake was immediately corrected. We apologize for any offense caused.”

    Chuck Williams wants your money

    State Rep. Chuck Williams, R-Watkinsville, is holding two fundraisers next week, indicating that he expects to have opposition either in July or November. The fundraisers are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn in downtown Athens and Tuesday at Springhill Suites in Oconee County. He's asking for a $100, $250 or $500 donation, but contributions aren't necessary to attend.
