Economic Recovery in 2012?

The unemployment rate is at its lowest level since 2009, thanks to the 200,000 jobs added by employers in December. We've seen the rate drop consistently over the past four months, which now brings the U.S. down to 8.5 percent unemployment.

"There is no question that today's employment report is a positive and there is also no question that the pace of job growth has accelerated of late," said Dan Greenhaus, an analyst at BTIG LLC, a brokerage firm.

But will we see continued improvement? And is this rate of growth enough to get us out of an economic crisis? While the reports are encouraging, many economists and analysts point to the number of still-jobless Americans and an unsteady global economy as proof we aren't out of the woods yet.
