The Color Run comes to Atlanta

January 30, 2012

On March 31st, hundreds of runners will race through Atlanta and be sprayed by paint, all in the name of charity.  The Color Run is a 5k tour that travels to large cities across the U.S. to raise money for the local Children's Miracle Network.

The race is for people of all ages, speeds, shapes, and sizes.  Its $40 to register ($35 if you get a team together) and prices go up Feb. 1st so the sooner you sign up, the better.

Runners begin at 9am in Piedmont Park.  Throughout the race, you'll experience different "Color Zones" and end up looking like this at the finish line:

Sounds a lot to me like Dayglow, minus the black lights and ear-splitting dubstep, plus a little bit of good karma.  I'm there!

Does getting sprayed by paint make a 5k more or less intriguing to you? Will you be at the Color Run?
