Can your IQ be too high?

A court in New York recently upheld a decision saying that a city's police force can refuse to hire a police officer if he or she scores too high on an intelligence test.

The city of New London refused to interview candidates who didn't score within a certain range.

Is it possible to be too smart to do certain jobs? 

Should municipalities have the right to refuse to interview candidates based on this test?

Could a private sector company get away with the same criteria for granting interviews?

    Chuck Williams wants your money

    State Rep. Chuck Williams, R-Watkinsville, is holding two fundraisers next week, indicating that he expects to have opposition either in July or November. The fundraisers are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn in downtown Athens and Tuesday at Springhill Suites in Oconee County. He's asking for a $100, $250 or $500 donation, but contributions aren't necessary to attend.
