Can Broun Drive Liberals, Crazy?!

February 9, 2013

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth

Revelation 3:16 KJV
***

Well, things are looking like maybe he can! There are still lots of blank spaces left on the "trophy room" in Broun's office and let's hope plenty of the local and state-wide liberal nuts will end-up where they truly belong!

Even at the national level, Broun's candidacy presents some "problems" among the new-crop of Republican self-doubters who believe the GOP, itself, and not the Democrats, may be the real problem!

Love it! Broun saying he was "not intimidated!"

Broun, whether he knows it or not, is taking a big gamble on the changing political zeitgeist. If he is correct, he might win big! If the democrats and some Republicans can muster enough self-righteous criticism of the Tea Party "crazies," then Broun may go down in flames!

In many respects, it is "use it or lose it," and "now-or-never" time for Broun, state house GOPers, including Gov. Deal, and national GOP members. Some of them don't realize this yet; and believe they can backpeddle back into some weird form of acceptance.

"Maybe the Democrats will tolerate us if we keep our mouths closed about important moral and policy positions!" .... Innocent

Blog: Can we please fix the Oscars?

Summary:  Fun facts: The first-ever Oscar ceremony, held in 1929, ran a brisk 15 minutes. By contrast, the longest was in 2002, clocking in at a monstrous 4 hours and change. As usual, there are things I loved about it and things I didn't. Rather than be snarky or complain, I'll offer a few suggestions on how the organizers might bring the show into the 21st century. Winter storm drama

Athens-Clarke County police officers responded to Pinewood Estates North on a 911 call concerning a heated domestic dispute. it reportedly was an argument over the lack of heat and food in a family's trailer and a woman was threatening to stab anyone who tried to take away her 7-month-old child. State patrol responded also, from their post nearby on U.S. Highway 29 North. The situation apparently was resolved. An officer reported he was driving the woman and infant to another home in Athens. read more
