Beware of Clear-Cast antenna

April 22, 2012

Beware of the Clear-Cast antenna ad that is in the USA Weekend in Sunday's paper.

Just did internet research on it and it's an over-hyped, over-priced indoor antenna that attaches to your window with suction cups that has pretty outrageous claims about all the channels it can get.

People can't get channels like it claims and are having a very hard time getting their money back.

Buy a cheap antenna from Radio Shack or Wal-Mart and you'll probably have better luck IF you live close to broadcasting stations.

Do your research first. If it sounds to good to be true, it's a scam.

I know people who say they won't go see anything unless they have at least one other person to go with, but I've always enjoyed having the place to myself. No cartoons on racism

As you might imagine, the vast majority of the editorial cartoons available these days for publication through the syndicate which supplies cartoons to the Athens Banner-Herald/OnlineAthens are addressing the situation in Ferguson, Mo., where the fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer has touched off a number of demonstrations -- some peaceful, but many not at all peaceful, with tear gas fired by police officers and gunshots fired by some protester. read more
