Are There Wolves In Georgia?

March 7, 2011

I live way out in the country and every night before bed when I walk my spoiled dog, I hear what sounds like wolves or coyotes. For months I have been hearing howling in the back of the house and now it seems that there is a large pack in the front of my house. My dog gets excited everytime he hears them, but I pay them no mind, since they dont pay the property tax. But anywho, just curious to see if they are dangerous and do they attack people? Has anyone else seen or heard such things?

Links to Banner-Herald's award-winning sports stories

The Athens Banner-Herald sports staff combined to win 11 individual awards on Sunday at the Georgia Sports Writers Association's annual meeting in Marietta. You can get a few more details on that in this story ? "Banner-Herald sports staff wins 11 awards" ? and I thought I'd provide some links to the winning stories for the curious. The awards were for the sports staff's work in 2012. read more

It?s hard to make too much out of a depth chart put out just under three months before the season opener, but it?s the dog days of June so here are the takeaways I see from Georgia?s latest official pecking order outlined below:--John Theus remains outside the first five on the offensive line. Continued motivation for the summer workouts? Maybe. The rising sophomore is behind Xzavier Ward at right tackle. read more
