Addicted to Twitter

February 5, 2012

Hi, my name is Joel and I am addicted to Twitter.

Don't laugh.  A recent study has shown that the urge to check Twitter and check email is harder to resist than cigarettes and alcohol.

Read the full story about the study at www.guardian.co.uk.

After reading this article, I started adding up the amount of time I spend on Twitter and checking email.  Since my job is to be on Twitter and to check email, I spend a very large amount of my day on both.

The problem is that I check them even when I am not working.

You think I might be addicted?

Does anyone else check email constantly or check Twitter all the time?

Do I need to join a "Tweeters Anonymous" group somewhere or does my job give me a good excuse?

It would be really hard even to cut back for me because I really enjoy seeng the flow of news and information on my Twitter feed.

Does anyone have any suggestions of ways to get me off "the bird" and back into reality a little more?
